I became a vegetarian March of 2011; henceforth I began to cook almost exclusively for myself. To my surprise, bewilderment, and (somewhat) embarrassment, it became something of a new source of joy for me. Before moving I never pictured myself as the “foodie” sort, but now one of my favorite means of entertaining myself is reading cookbooks, slicing and sauteing stuff, and reveling in the pleasure of delicious food. I especially like baking homemade bread. I focus mainly on healthy food, but I do like desserts. And chocolate. It’s like happiness in silky, melty, velvety bar form!!
